Reflecting Light

Reflections At Fort Desota - Plein Air Oil - K. Hitt

Many times one of my favorite subjects to paint is reflective light.  That amazing warm glow that blankets the land and changes the view completely by its qualities taking hold of the ordinary, plain, dull even.  Admiration of the light on a clump of Ponderosa Pines began this morning. In His Light... Before The Dawn began today with the appreciation of Light, and the difference it makes, and the difference of our perspective when we view it and share what that view makes.
So it begins:
Good morning my Lord and praise be my God.  Thank You for the morning view of Your blanket of golden glow across the pines.  Beautiful... and now even as a gray mist covers the same view am amazed at how being engulfed in warm light completely changes the image.  No appeal is in the flat dull light.  hmmmmm  must be why we are called to reflect Your Light.  Jesus is the Light of the World.  Thank You for this morning word picture.  May it be my focus in all that I do - to reflect Jesus' light in me and how thankful that i am, and that i may.
"Experiencing God"Bible study often comes to mind when I see many fronts in life coming together to share the same message... in a manor that you truly feel that this is Your way for us to be "Experiencing God" today.  If we truly take every thoguht captive.  No Coincidenc Pauls witness in Acts the bookmark for today: 17:27&28; 17:1-34.  24"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. 25 And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed amything, because He Himself gives all men life & breath & everything else. 26...27 God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 28 For in Him we live and move and have our being.  As some of your poets have said, 'We are His offspring'.
29 Therefore, since we are Gods offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone - an image made by mans design & skill... <><<><<><
In context Paul's prelude here 17:23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an alter with this inscription: To An Unknown God.  Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you <><<><<><
Noting: Paul's manerisms and ways here.  'looked carefully" and he did not speak down or haugtidly... he simply shared about MORE that is available, that in this life the unkonwn - is now made known to us.  It is made known to us through Jesus Christ. Its NOT something man made and God doesn't 'need' us - God simly LOVES us ALL and desires that we have ALL HIS BEST designed for us, from the beginning.  The Creator - IS personal; in contrast to the views of pantheistic Stoicism.
In CONTRAST......   hmmmmmmm....
I remember now the morning view.  Of it in the light vs not.  What a glorious difference that light made.  What a glorious difference knowing God makes. 'The Relationship Matters'- another days post... is relevant here too.  Also is our perspective in our views.  To whom the glory is due, to whom we thank for the ALL... to whom we thank for the view.  Even when the close observation, careful observation reveals a great contrast of view - it does not change the Truth.  It is nothing to argue about, it is simply a wonderful known to share with those willing to listen... especially with those living for the unkinown gods in this world.  Sharing with them that which is both known and knows and loves them so much that He sacrificed all for them, simply so they could live in a relationship - a Personal Relationship with The Creator that Created them for this love.  We are called to reflect His Light.  NOT JUDGE.  Jesus spoke in the language of love and absolute Truth.  That is how we are to speak too, if we claim to speak Christ in our life.  How you see, is how you will speak.  Paul was careful to look carefully.  How beautiful the view this morning when the warm glow of mornings light blanketed the scene.  Reflect that as you speak... seems the morning call.
With a thankful and Humble heart, expressing pure JOY of Christ Jesus, The Light Of The World for ALL to see.  In His Holy Precious Name- Amen.
