Day two of 100th journal

Got an earlier start... yet day is in full spring bloom. Jasmine's aroma qualifies the seasons accent... of May but a few days away. Song birds continue their tunes, nesting additions greet their feet.

Alas, a writer or poet, AM NOT; nor a saint or an apostle or theologian. Simply know their is NO GREATER PLACE to be in all God's glorious creation, than His God Breathed Word scribed for us each. It is the Living Word of God.

Hebrews 4:12 For The Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any doubled-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Yes, the totality and depth of ones being.

Bible is bookmarked at Luke 18:38-19:44. 19:26 Jesus- "He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.'"

noting: that those who seek spiritual gain in the gospel, for themselves and others, will become richer, and those who neglect or squander what is given them will become impoverished, losing even what they have.

YES, sharper than any double edge sword! Also a blessed reminder of God' promise that if you seek, you will find.

God does NOT mention the mere material here- He speaks to the heart, the VERY Life's core. Impoverished in ones inner being is NO place one wants to be. THIS parable of the Ten Minas illustrates just how GOD gives to ALL. We can use His gift and talents or bury them. It is painfully obvious which way is beneficial. A key in ALL of these teachings is of how God's gifts are not only multiplied, BUT are made to be used and sharable.

Taking all that He gives and only using it for self gain is both no benefit for others, and definitely not God's plan. There is no place for selfishness or shortsightedness. Storing everything up so it won't be lost serves no useful purpose either.

Your soul may have been saved, BUT the spirit is dormant; as good as dead - if not given purpose to live.

YES, impoverished is no place to be, sadly many stay impoverished, though abundance is given. Everything we NEED God HAS abundantly supplied. How we use and apply all given determines the nature of our living. Our soul saved that our spirit may be free to live in ALL His Abundance and blessings is God's plan. May we NEVER label our blessings as curses because of fear or worry- may we step out in faith and put to use all given. Before we even know it, the fruits of the labors shall multiply. AND YES, a worthy prayer is that they may, multiply tenfold - (here is the key) FOR GOD'S GLORY.

Multiplying the gift of Christ's love given for us glorifies God. That is abundant living... as it keeps God's Word the LIVING WORD of GOD... not stored up or squandered or buried.

Day two of this 100th journal of seeking God's Truth has brought revelation...

perhaps so much so that it needs to journey beyond this quiet-time chair. prayer....that it is put into practice indeed.... GODSPEED

100th Journal

For God who said- "Let light shine out of darkness" made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. (2Cor4:6 & life verse)

On 28 April 2010 began my 100th Journal. The entries from yesterday and today leave a mark... as in a milestone of a continuing journey.

Two entries in one- noting that both together paired relevant.
28April10- Bible bookmarked at Luke 13:1-14:5 & 24:14-53. Luke 24:45 Then He (Jesus) opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. <><>

A place to significantly begin 100th journal... in illustrating with God's Word the purpose behind them(journals) all. Seeking of God's Truths is how the title pages read on them each. "In His Light...Before The Dawn"(R) what have come to title the entries and this quiet time. The tradition begun when a dear friend and first prayer partner Lenee loaned me a Bible- because did not have a good one of my own. Since did not feel could mark up her Bible pages, so began writing down in a journal, the verses that spoke to my heart or sought to learn more about. 100 Journals later, here I am , it is a glorious late spring day in SW FL. I am sitting out on back porch listening to beautiful song birds in the background, perfect temperature, gentle breeze, clear favorite shade of blue skies overhead; reminiscing and seeking - God's Truth to counsel the blessing of this day that He has made, from here, am always enabled to rejoice and be glad in it. In the simple Truth Joy is eternal; happiness temporal. As we learn by faith to consider it all Joy --- the reality that this does not mean all smiles -- so noted.
Here in Luke 24:36-49 "Jesus Appears to the Disciples" so that they could know the Truth in the Risen Lord. His first words to them: "Peace be with you" - the traditional greeting now given new significance by the resurrection.
This verse 24:45 - illustrates the Old made New, the same, never changing for all eternity yet born again in Christ Jesus - the resurrected Savior.
YES EVERYTHING fulfilled.... AND why He came. To fulfill the Father's Will.

SO as we humbly press on , we too may seek an desire this being fulfilled in us. Our minds opened so we can understand the Scriptures. GODs Living Word, GOD breathed to the eyes of our hearts.

My Life versed adorns this commemorative cover: 2 Corinthians 4:6. This verse is painted on the eyes of my heart for life. It too adorns the Bible cover made on canvas to cover my new Bible back in 1998. The first person that I showed it to was precious friend and counselor Dr. David Seamonds. The Bible before it, and that one too, pages worn a part, and now set aside to not come a part more. AM now on 3rd Bible. It was given to me by my church family at CUMC and Pastor Steve Miller; ironically on Sept. 11th 1999. A "NIV Study Bible" so could study as going through the Disciple Class. Long time only used as a reference Bible, it now in 2010 is my daily Bible.

God has surrounded me with much godly counsel and nurturing.... yes;
Then He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

I remain NO scholar or theologian, but a seeker of God's Truths as He reveals them to me.
I have learned much in these 100 journals, especially that , praise be, GOD is NOT done with me yet. The study notes in the NIV Bible share more insight into the context of the written word... beyond just my hearts interpretation and application. Many other in depth Bible studies, sermons, books... devotions continue to guide my seeking of Gods Truths.

The goal remains that God may counsel my spirit with His Spirit and direct my ways with His Ways. THAT I may serve Him and glorify His name... by His Grace alone in faith may press on... to take hold of that which He took hold of me for.
Luke 13:18 The Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19 It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches." <><><
there is GREAT joy in the Sovereignty of God
and much to learn in being still... and knowing HE is GOD.
May the reminiscing NOT digress from the motive of heart here -
To YES, be still, to seek, to heed all heard, to make a difference... and that 100 journals later from where beginning.... the journey continues in seeking Gods Truths' that His Truth may be the Counsel to guide my way in His Way to answer in the blessing of this day that He has made.

“Mary’s Song” Luke 1:46-53
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed for the Mighty One has done great things for me- Holy is His Name. 50 His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. 51 He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in their in most thoughts. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty…
<><
This last speaks NOT of mere food and money. It speaks of spirit, soul, mind, purpose, way… in as much – The beatitudes does.
If you think you have all you need or all you have and do will obtain for you all you need- depending on your “riches” – THAT alone is what you will have- SOON too you will discover how empty that is…
God though hears the call of the ‘hungry’ – the heart that sincerely seeks to be filled by all that God provides. ‘Hungry” is both physically and spiritually.
The ‘fear” spoken here is – revere. Those who revere God and live in harmony with His will.
Mary’s song – is a hymn, a psalm we all may know in our hearts… and verse 46 is really each of ours call and prayfully our song.
“My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior…”
<><
Well,
Does it? We may ask this of ourselves. This the “Living Word” of God – “God Breathed” to us.
This Good Friday… Jesus gave ALL to the The Father for US. NOTHING about self gain… or self will.
The WILL of the ONE TRUE GOD
Sought – Served – Glorified.
God’s perfect order for us too –
As He gives us in “Mary’s Song”
Sing it outloud – hear it – live it… be it.
THERE we will not find ourselves empty.
><> - In Jesus’ Name - <>< Amen
