GIFTS, we all have at least one...

started 137th Journal today...

This painting is titled, "Cindy's Gifts"-- it was painted plein air (a French term, meaning 'open air', or out door painting) in my new sister-in-laws backyard.  Their gardening is truly a 'gift' that all of us simply do not have.  It is just one of many of their gifts, it was one of the ones that I  couldn't wait to reflect.Another 'gift' in this painting is the quilt hanging on the clothes line.  It was made by Cindy's Husbands Grandmother.  To them, when they view this painting, that adds to the sentiment in it.  Its funny, when Cindy looks in her yard, she sees weeds that need pulled, or different things that need doing   Beyond the service work to be done. Humbly not recognizing her gift and talents in all that she does.  She also has the gift of caring and hospitality. For this artist's eye, that made the yard all the more special, above its welcoming call and beautiful blooms.  Beyond the service beauty, is what these eyes saw. Just as we all see things differently, we all have different gifts and talents too.  The key, is to apply them in a manor that they may be shared and grow, hopefully multiplying for God's Glory, who endowed them to us, and never bury them in insecurity or fear, allowing them therefore to be wasted.
I do not know if all this journaling that I do is a gift to anyone but myself. I do not know why sometimes I feel compelled to share the writings from my quiet-time chair. Maybe some just see it as a disorder of one that 'thinks too much'.  It has helped me to not worry over the years.  When you see things written down in black and white, many times they do not look as big as how they do when they are taking over thoughts, and stifling out other more positive ones. When the journaling is dedicated to being a prayer journal, to study and learn the truths of God's Word, it adds to the exercise. God's Word, delivers a "peace beyond understanding" i do believe every time.  Well, this is the beginning of my 137th Journal.
I photographed the actual pages.  Click on any of the images to enlarge them. to save time and writing twice, copied into here the pictures.  Another gift that am on... my #USAHoneymoon.  We are off to enJOY a Sunday afternoon drive, 4 wheeling style.  Have a blessed day... Godspeed.

Revenge is really meant as another R word

A NON theologian, NON authority... thoughts:
Mary's Chapel- by K Hitt
The LIVING Word is God's First fruit for us,  especially when applied as the first fruit to the day.
For this IS a day that the Lord has made, and we may indeed rejoice and be glad in it.
Beyond any circumstance.
Gods LIVING Word- Godspeed; answers our prayers... for God's word remains in our heart;  Prayerfully to overflowing.
Such hope is in Rom 11:29-36
v29 for God's gifts and His call are irrevocable...
<><<><<><
God
does NOT change His mind
with reference to His call.
God's purpose remains and shall
be fulfilled-- even in unbelief,
God's GOOD purposes and truths remain,
and shall overcome.
<><<><<><
v.36 For from Him and through Him and To Him are ALL things.
To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
<><<><<><
in this hope, pray to apply God's GIFT with His call on this heart in a manor worthy of the gospel of Jesus Chrst.  Praying constantly for focus, ability, details, strokes, motives..... work; God to get done, where i am weak, HE be the strength.
Paint The Trinity, if 'we' are heirs, we therefore also a part of that image...
then 'we' are a portrait of God too.  Humbling thought God.. yet God the Almighty is from where we come, through whom we come, and are the 'to' where we come-- and indeed our ALL things.
To God be the glory forever and ever.  In Jesus' name the Amen is spoken and it is done.
Romans 12:3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: do NOT think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
<>< ><> <><
12:6 (A) We have different gifts, according to the grace (God has) given us...
(B) If a mans gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
<><<><<>< noting: Gods balance here-- there is to be NO false modesty that denies the existance of gifts or refuses to use them... in proportion to His faith.
<><<><<>
by faith we walk, not by sight.
Faith breaths hope that blankets love.
Faith, hope and love remains and the greatest of these is love.
LOVE
Romans 12:9-21
Love must be sincere.  Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.  Honor one another above yourselves
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God's people who are in need. Patrice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another.
Do NOT be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.
Do NOT be conceited.
Do NOT repay evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  Do NOT take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written;
"It is Mine to avenge; I WILL repay, " says the Lord.
On the contrary; "If your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty,
give him something to drink.
in doing this you will heap burning coals on his head."
do NOT be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with Good.
<><<><<><
noting v.20 instead of trying to take revenge, may bring about their repentance.
May we each never forget that is God's ultimate hope for ALL mankind
NOT ever to destroy- instead to reconcile the world to LOVE.
God IS love.
reflect that as our call...
Godspeed.

We all hear the truth in our hearts here too that when we read this word here about God revenging our enemy that we let out a silent little cheer.

The TRUTH here in God's message is the truth underlying God's motive

-- LOVE --

leading to repentance

as the greatest revenge...

hold that thought in your heart and press on in it...

Godspeed indeed.
a prayer;
God, thank you for this your word... may it be the focus as seek to press on .
Guide with it Lord, and may it be the peace-- Godspeed

Good Drama VS Bad Drama...

Adirondacks Drama - Plein Air Oil By K Hitt

Package at door had hoped to send Thursday… didn’t have the ability to do so then.  Best intentions don’t change that.
Monday morn, in the studio at the crack of dawn for coffee and QT and a early start to work at hand.

Opened Gods Word to its bookmark; …immediately He spoke to them and said, “Take courage! It is I.  Don’t be afraid” (Mk50b) 51 Then He climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down.  They were completely amazed, for they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.

<><<><<>< Pause to ponder all just read here in this first passage.  These are Jesus’ disciples.  They just witnessed the miracle of Jesus feeding 5000+ with five loaves and two fish so they would be provided for while they came to hear Jesus’ teachings.

Immediately following that Jesus had them (disciples) get into the boat and go ahead of Him to Bethsaida, while He dismissed the crowd.  After leaving them Jesus went up on a mountainside to pray (for context and actual verses read Mk6:45-51)

There is much in these passages… much.  The disciples were doing exactly what Jesus asked them to do.
V47 When evening came, the boat was in the middle of the lake and He (Jesus) was alone on land. 48 He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them.  About the forth watch of the night He went out to them, walking on the lake.  He was about to pass them, 49 but when they saw Him walking on the lake, they thought He was a ghost.  They cried out, 50 because they all saw Him and were terrified.
<><<><<><

In the ‘living’ Word of God see more than hope here in these passages.  See our human condition too, and lack of faith in our vision… or how things are seen.
TRUTH: Jesus sent them, AND Jesus saw their struggle as they journeyed on the path HE SENT THEM ON. Taking note of this on two accounts; 1. Difficulty came at no fault of their own. 2. Jesus saw it and came to aid them.
Also noting: what is labeled here ‘hearts were hardened’ is in fact our human condition and natural tendencies toward lack of faith in God. ??? Question not a statement.
Jesus came in the night to help them, but because of what the days (world) traditions or tales told were, instead of seeing the truth – they saw what society taught.  Interesting.  Ever happen to you?

You are going along in life, thinking in Gods will and on course and it gets harder than you can do alone.  You keep working, straining, trying to make progress, but find yourself no further ahead, and working literally against the wind or tide.  As you sit there, doubt moves in, mixed with fear.  Thinking all that is being done is to no avail.  Maybe I’m only talking to myself here.

Because it is dark, you can’t even see that you are getting nowhere fast.  God sees though and not only does He care, He comes to help.  You don’t even see that you just might need a little help from God.  Or better stated recognize that He came to help you!???

Truth remains always.  We live and work and do – in this world.  Jesus calls us to walk by faith not sight.  AND sometimes that defies reason…

Other times… well.  Re-read this passage.

If our minds our set on the worlds ways, when Jesus comes to help verse 50 is our truth: because they saw Him and were terrified’ (meaning they see in Jesus what the world wants us to think He is verses the TRUTH of who He is)

Has a prayer ever been answered for you, and your response was “that cannot be so?  If I tell anyone what just happened they’ll just think I’m loony?”

Well, I’ll confess, it has happened to me—and in the simplicity of the ‘living’ Word and taking the time to listen/read it this morn it has happened here today, this morn.

In self, the circumstances overwhelmed, though ‘thought’ on course.  Harsh reality find myself instead meeting the Monday, not only behind but with not enough resources to meet the demands at hand.  Doubt comes pouring in.  Broken record plays too ‘you can’t overcome’

Thank YOU God for Your LIVING Word and the Red letters of Christ in the passage read today; ‘Take courage ! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Therefore turning this Monday into a Red letter day!

Do I still have to get to the other side of the lake? YUP! By faith though don’t need to see in doubt, but simply trust that Jesus Himself saw little ole me rowing against the wind and has indeed come to my side and rescue.  It is the peace beyond understanding as press on – to take the next stroke.  Mine perhaps with a brush and not an oar.

Somehow will pull all together as needed on the ‘to do’ list longer than I am tall – with demands on it more than I have the means to meet.  God knows the needs.  Somehow each that is truly a need will get met… Godspeed. Yes, working hard remains the call too.
With Gods truth as how I see – GODspeed.
 The red letters day call:
“Take courage ! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” In Jesus’ name the peace beyond understanding comes, the wind dies down, enabling to overcome, keeping on course and yes, indeed, getting to the other side…
Leaving doubt and the world’s barrage behind.
Thank YOU God for reminding me that it is ALWAYS a Red Letter Day! Jesus knows, sees, and cares… and will always show the way and help the need.

Daily Bread...

As return from a 21K+ mile journey... the task of the day to day back home and in the studio take hold.  The work for its exhibit in many ways just beginning. "At That Moment..." Exhibit, illustrates itself in life in multiple ways.  As seek prayerfully, a continual counsel on how to simply keep a roof over my head, as all of us do... well, here is today's 'In His Light Before The Dawn' as seen in today's and yesterday's quiet time.  Underlining I KNOW NOTHING... as seek how to have daily bread... something we were taught young in our praying 'The Lords prayer' Many times its recited, is it not- And not prayed?  I don't usually highlight the red letters of Christ, seemed especially relevant today.  All the blue from here on takes you to a link of the actual scriptures as found at Bible Gateway so that you may read full context (the first two here, linked to article about trip and other blog on work) .
Ok - now - as to
Daily Bread…
John 6:33 “For The Bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world”
This is our ‘Give us this day our daily bread…’ This the mana in the desert, this the ‘Bread of life’(6:35)
This our I AM in Christ Jesus- For He is the ‘I Am’- it is only by we in Him,  and He in us-
v32 Jesus said to them, ‘I tell you the Truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is My Father who gives you True Bread from heaven.  For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir’ they said, ‘from now on give us this bread’
35 Then Jesus declared ‘I AM the bread of life.  He who comes to Me will NEVER go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty… and whoever comes to Me I will NEVER drive away.  For I have come down from heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me. 39 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose NONE of all that He has given Me… 40 For My Father’s will is that EVERYONE who looks to The Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life and I will raise Him up at the last day” <><<><<><

from Norman Rockwell Museum
Then, read through to the end of chapter 6 in the book of John.  To not read all is out of context of Gods Word.  This heart sees the Trinity in these passages.  The Father, The Son, and The Spirit all a part of the Red Letters.  I also appreciated the honesty of the responses here in these passages
From N.Rockwell Museum
v60 On hearing it, many of His disciples said, ‘this is a hard teaching.  Who can accept it?’ <><<><<>< Referring then to 53-58, then see 35,40,47,51. V53 precludes a direct reference to the Lords Supper. NOT in teaching that this sacrament as the one requirement for eternal life.  In this very discourse He emphasizes faith in response to testimony.  Flesh and blood point to Christ crucified and the source of life.  Jesus speaks of faiths appropriation of Himself as Gods appointed sacrifice- One for all.
61-65  here, am only recording in part the Red letters- God breathed.  Again, for full context is in reading them ALL.  These here recorded- simply speak loudly to this heart in as much is the passion in me to paint The Trinity with this life.. reflecting as much as God enables His inspirations to this heart as found in His Word.  The Word is Living, The Word is God breathed and relevant to every breath we take in our lives.  ‘Those who have ears, let them hear’-Jesus.  More from these passages speak the vision of the Trinity to these eyes.  One God, Three distinct parts.  Yet, can not have ONE without the other
Verses highlighted here –are The Red Letters from this to be a Red letter day
51 “I AM the living bread that came down from heaven.  If ANYONE eats of this bread, he will live forever.  This bread is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
…57 Just as The Living Father sent Me and I live because of The Father, so the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven.
…61b Does this offend you? 62 What if you see The Son of Man ascend to where He was before? 63 The Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing.  The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life’…
…65 He went on the say ‘This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless The Father has enabled him.”

"A Special Place" in the works K.Hitt Plein Air
<><<><<>< Coming to Christ for salvation is NEVER a merely human achievement.  The Spirit at work produces life.
The Father, The Son, The Spirit
One God
One Life
Sacrificed for ALL to live.
EVERYONE” is in Jesus’ Red Letters – NO prejudice in Christ.  Yet, the prejudiced ones in this world proclaim the opposite.  The TRUTH remains, no matter what one chooses to believe – Jesus – “I AM the Bread of life”
When reciting The Lords prayer – “Give us this day our daily bread…’ it is in Jesus’ name it is said… and the Amen is spoken- ‘it is done’   God’s Word is  our daily bread- Jesus is The Word made flesh – when you feed on this – you have life – “the Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing. The Words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life”  THIS – this is how ‘the Truth sets you free’ – by abiding in it.
<><<><<>< NO theologian here, NO scholar – simply an artist, with a call on this heart to ‘paint the Trinity’ with this life.  NOTHING that is humanely possible to do, for ONLY God knows what that is.  ‘i’ only know how the ‘living word of God’ inspires this heart. I know nothing.  I do know in whom I believe… Jesus Christ…
And as to this heart it is plain to see in these verses the Three parts of The Trinity of God – that enables us all, and that we cannot have one without the other
One God
Made our Emmanuel – God with us:
Grace, love, fellowship (2Cor13:14) “At that moment…”(Mt3:16) forever more
One
For ALL
In Jesus’ name
Amen
It is done.
Norman Rockwell

Jesus- “I AM…” (John 10:1-21)
“I tell you The TRUTH…
I AM … the Gate
               …the Good Shepherd”
John 10:1-21, John 6:35
Then Jesus declared, ‘I AM the bread of life
He who comes to Me will never go hungry and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.
Jesus alone is The I AM
Our daily bread
Our way
Our truth
Our salvation
Hear the I AM in the Lord’s Prayer? For He- The I AM, even taught us to pray.  Our LIVING Word, Our Living Water, Yes Jesus alone is the
I AM
The prayer:
Thank You Father that Your Truth comes through no matter what the distractions.
Thank YOU for interceding.  God cast out all that comes only to rob and steal and destroy   Thank YOU for reminding me of Gods Red Letters of Christ Jesus – The I AM … Living Word
I hold to the truth and pray the living word
I come to YOU Jesus, the I AM where never will hunger be, in YOU am filled.  Where never will I thirst – for in YOU I believe
May Your living water, daily bread, way, truth, and salvation, by Your word made flesh, by faith in Jesus Christ
Gods will be done
His Good and Perfect will
Be please the lamp unto my feet – guide please each step and teach me more and more to truly trust and believe that You hold my hand, guide my steps, every place the journey goes, YOUR will is for it to be led to Gods best.  In Jesus’ name it is done,
The Amen is spoken
It is done.
