What a grand word to start the NEW year with... MUSTARD.
Bible was bookmarked at Luke 13. The entire chapter, though Verses 18-21 "...The Mustard Seed and the Yeast." To Illustrate God's Word as the LIVING Word that it is, and relevant to every breath that we take in our today's, remains a passion. NO theologian, have never followed probably even a 'proper procedure' for Study of the WORD. Do spend time in it DAILY, and KNOW by Faith... it speaks to the heart of the one that seeks.
With that said, decided to start simply in the Word this morn. SO distracted, at best; be it stress? Fear? Discouraged? "...cast..." Jesus says/teaches us to do - by faith. If NOT in faith, simply lays waste. "...cast cares..." share, because He cares. Simple as that.
Last bookmark just so happens to be at Luke 13:18-21... so shall begin again here- remembering exactly what it is that i believe - and may be still and KNOW - God is in-control, and that there is GREAT Joy in His Sovereignty. He remains our GOOD NEWS from here to eternity.
The WORD. Luke 13:18-21; MT 13:31, 17:20; MK 4:31 - Mustard.

Interestingly enough Luke leaves out the detail of the Mustard seed being the smallest of all the seeds that have, yet when planted it grows to be the largest of all the garden plants, with such large branches that birds may pirch on its branches, in its shade <><<><<><
ALL three gospels compare it to the enormity of what even a little true faith can do. MT 17:20 "...I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" <><<><<><
SO noting, it is NOT quantity - its quality that matters - AND make the difference. This, a proverbial statement meaning to remove great difficulties. <>< In ALL things, Truth remains and GOD'S Good purposes are sustained. It is NOT our will be done, it is God's Will. Faith may move mountains, yes- in God's wisdom and discernment and will it is done.
Why LOVE think must come first. Motivated by love - our prayer, hope, desire in that and in faith, that is where the difference is made. God is Good, ALL good, He is LIGHT In Him there is NO darkness, nor can there be any union there with it.
Do believe this word: Mustard seed- is the perfect word to begin the New Year with. Motivated by love, this mustard seed of faith may keep in prayer the mountains before me. Perhaps some simply shall remain a part of the ladscape, in proper perspective, perhaps not as an obsticle, simply as a majestic backdrop. Alas, some of these mountains sure don't look very majestic; but all is well with my soul. Keep the faith, work hard with my own hands and - God's perfect will, has it in His able hands. "Nothing will be impossible for you"
